The garden path and more…

Oh my goodness… changes are afoot!  But first let me say that I finally finished the walkway in my garden.  After nearly 2 months of moving dirt and rocks I have my garden path finished.  My cat, Luvy, particularly likes it because he doesn’t really like to walk on the grass.  He’s quite a character, my funny and lovely friend… Luvy.  I had a scare a couple of weeks ago with him when one Saturday morning Luvy began hissing and growling at me.  This behavior was so un-Luvy like that I was taken aback and immediately called the vet.  As “luck” (luck is God’s nickname) would have it there was a cancellation that morning and we got in immediately.  Once at the vet’s office, Luvy continued his hissing and growling and couldn’t be examined safely so we were sent home with pain meds and instructed to return in a few days for a scan and an x-ray.  The results showed some medical problems that began who knows when and are serious.  Even though the reason for the hissing and growling seems to have been an injury – likely sustained while going through his cat door – the other medical problems are things that I can’t realistically address. So the plan going forward is to give the best care and comfort and continue living life together – me and Luvy.  Life is like that… sometimes there are things we cannot control.  Actually, most of the time there are things we cannot control and our best strategy is always trying to put on our “best face” and then trust God.
