Trying Something New… YouTube!

It was time!  Actually it was past time for me to finally figure out how to make a movie for my long neglected YouTube channel.  I’m not sure if there was any one thing that motivated me to finally try but as I said in my last blog post – it was a perfect storm of motivation coming from multiple places.  That I believe is God working.  Our challenge when God begins to work is to see it and then after we see it we need to move.  We need to do something… we need to do anything and that’s been the rub for me for many years.

Now don’t get me wrong, I haven’t been a total slug all these years but I suspect there were other “perfect storms of motivation” that I either didn’t see or saw and then ignored.  I can honestly say that I don’t know what is moving me now to act.  I suppose it’s because I’ve got some miles on me and some of those miles were hard and those hard miles brought me a certain wisdom and strength that I didn’t know was inside me.  When you gain wisdom, strength and a comforting level of self-acceptance the next step can only be climbing out on a limb and reaching for better fruit.

Pencils… Yes, I use lots of pencils!

So here I am now reaching for better fruit and trying to figure out how to make an iMovie for my YouTube Channel!  (Those are words that I didn’t contemplate writing just a year ago!)  What’s more I hope to share what I have learned along the way.  This blog and my YouTube channel will be an evolving platform for the art and such but also a place where a 65-er can show what she’s got.

Fear not… I won’t be exposing things that are better kept private but I will be talking about being vulnerable and then getting strong.  I will talk about being fearful and then being brave.  I will talk about being critical of self and finally looking in the mirror with love.  I guess you could say that I plan to share this life that I am designing – warts and all.

The link below is my second recent video created in iMovie and posted to my YouTube Channel.  Both videos are time lapse with a sort of “how to” commentary.  Feel free to check it out, subscribe to my channel if you like and leave a thumbs up if you are so inclined.  Buckle up!   The good Lord willing there will be more to come.
